Specialty Wire

 

Binding wire

Bekaert manufactures spiral binding wire for the paper converting (notebooks) and comb forming industries (Print On Demand, Bind On Demand). Double loop combs and continuous spirals are the most common use for this wire. These wires are either coated with tin or nylon and come in a large variety of colors.

 

 

Bezalplast® 

The Bezalplast wire consists of a very thin PET coating (Polyethylene terephtalate ) that is extruded over a Bezinal® coated wire. Bezinal+PET yields a waterproof adhesion with corrosion resistant properties equal to stainless steel wires. Bezalplast is a cost effective alternative to most stainless steel applications.  This product is available in a wide variety of colors and carbon levels. 

 

 

PVC coated wire

Bekaert produces low and high carbon wires coated with PVC.  These wires are used to reinforce flexible tubes and hoses for industrial applications.  The hoses are mostly used to facilitate the movement of air, dust, liquids, fumes and light weight materials.

 

 

Fine wire 

Bekaert manufactures special fine end annealed wires especially fitted for weaving, knitting, welding and sewing. Best known applications are bag closure systems (twist ties) and wires for airbag filters.
